DUNES® from Sørensen Leather is an exclusive Aniline leather with a natural, raw look and a sublime, almost velvety tactile feel. Achieved via a process of sanding and applying a special type of wax to the surface. Part of DUNES®’ appeal are the natural markings which bring a unique personality to each hide. Colour tones will also vary from hide to hide and within each individual hide. Beautiful patina will appear over time as a result of the leather’s usage, exposure to daylight and interior lighting. With use, the leather will become shinier and smoother over time.
Everyday cleaning
As a natural material, aniline leather requires gentle care. Only vacuum with a soft brush to remove dust and dirt. Never use water or soap, as these will damage the velvety look and feel. Do not apply leather grease or soak the
leather, and avoid chemical products such as saddle soap, household detergents or leather cleaners. Protect the surface from direct sunlight and strong indoor lighting, as well as from excessive heat or sharp objects, which may cause fading, drying or scratches.
Ongoing care
Aniline leather is the most natural type of leather and will change in character as it ages. The variations in tone and markings are part of its charm, and over time a beautiful patina will emerge, reflecting the life lived with the furniture. With thoughtful care, DUNES® will continue to grow more distinctive, enhancing both its appearance and tactile appeal.
